CELLAR DOOR HOST
We are expanding our team and are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and responsible cellar door professional for our Greenock Cellar Door.
You will be able to make the most of your friendly and outgoing disposition, to host, engage and educate our customers on everything Kalleske and importantly ensure everyone who visits has a memorable experience.ย ย
A genuine passion for wine, exceptional customer service and being a great communicator is essential for success in this hands-on customer focused role. Previous experience and a solid history working in a similar role will be looked upon favourably.
We are looking to complement our team with someone that can work across a structured weekly roster and wanting to become part of the Kalleske team for the long term. We are currently seeking to fill Friday and Saturday shifts at present with opportunity for further days for the right person.

Core Cellar Door Tasks:
- Showcase the Kalleske story and wines to customers
- High level of customer service
- Host various wine tastings and experiences for groups primarily up to 12 people
- Basic kitchen preparation and food service (platters and experiences)
- Take bookings, orders and other enquiries by phone, email and face-to-face
- Efficiently use POS, email and online booking systems
- Administration and packing of customer orders through cellar door and via website
- Follow structured opening and closing procedures
- Manage cellar door autonomously if required (with support from office)
- Communicate with customers over phone and via email to update personal details and complete sales
Hours:
- We are seeking to fill a Friday and Saturday shifts at present
- 1-3 days per week (generally 10am โ 5.30pm depending on visitation)
- Minimum 1 day on the weekend (primarily Saturday)
- Occasional evening events (Friday and Saturday)
- Various opportunities available for the right person
About you:
- Confidence to conduct various wine tastings and experiences speaking to a wide range of people and group sizes
- Fun, personable and outgoing
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Wine knowledge preferred, but not essential, we are happy to teach you but you must have a passion for wine and the want to learn
- The ability to generate sales
- Hospitality front of house experience preferred but not essential
- Competent computer skills and competent with POS, email and online booking systemsย
- Hold or willing to obtain an RSA certificate
- Previous experience with a customer database would be an advantage
- A keen eye for detail and pride in your work
- Immaculate personal presentation
- Enjoy working as part of a small team
- Able to work autonomously
- Must be available to work weekends (primarily Saturday)
- Ability to follow instructions
