We are not currently seeking staff for our Greenock Cellar Door although due the varying nature of the

We require an outgoing and enthusiastic cellar door professional for our Greenock Cellar Door. You will be able to make the most of your friendly disposition, to host, engage and educate our customers on everything Kalleske and to ensure everyone who visits us encounters a memorable experience.

A genuine passion for wine, exceptional customer service and being a great communicator is essential for success in this role. Experience working in a similar role is preferred. We are looking to expand our professional team with people that can work across a structured roster that includes weekends.

Core Cellar Door Tasks:

  • Host various wine tastings and experiences for groups up to 12 people
  • Showcase the Kalleske story and wines to customers
  • Always give fantastic customer service
  • Basic kitchen preparation and food service (platters and experiences)
  • Take bookings, orders and other enquiries by phone, email and face-to-face
  • Use POS, email and online booking systems
  • Packing of and paperwork for customer orders through cellar door and via website
  • Follow opening and closing procedures
  • On occasion run cellar door autonomously (with support from office)
  • Communicate with customers over phone and via email to update personal details and complete sales

Hours:

  • Minimum 1 day on the weekend (primarily Saturdays)
  • Multiple days available per week (up to 3 days during busy periods)
  • Various opportunities available for the right person

About you:

  • Confidence to conduct various wine tastings and experiences speaking to a wide range of people, primarily in groups of 2-12
  • Fun, personable and outgoing
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Wine knowledge preferred, but not essential, we are happy to teach you but you must have a passion for wine and the want to learn
  • Sales skills and ability to maximise sales an advantage
  • Strong computer skills and competent with POS, email and online booking systems
  • Hold or are willing to obtain an RSA certificate
  • Previous experience with a customer database an advantage
  • A keen eye for detail and pride in your work
  • Immaculate personal presentation
  • Enjoys working as a part of a team
  • Able to work autonomously when required
  • Must be available to work weekends
