Colour:
Parallax 2024 is light ruby-red in colour.
Aroma:
The aroma is reminiscent of a vivid summer garden, brimming with fragrant floral notes, ripe strawberries, fresh rosemary, rhubarb, a whisper of earth, and a subtle hint of spice. Together, these elements create an irresistibly alluring aroma.
Palate:
The light and juicy palate is bright, refreshing and strikingly pure. Vivacious throughout. Whilst light-bodied, it is generously flavoured with a perfect mix of berry fruits and beguiling savouriness. Tannins are lightly chalky giving a fine backbone whilst slatey minerality weaves through the wine. A long finish completes this energetic, delicious, and charming Grenache.

Parallax is best enjoyed now or over the next five years.
The Grenache was harvested on March 5th whilst bright, fresh and juicy with perfect natural acid. The grapes were crushed, and all stalks were included in the fermenters to add tannin, structure and complexity. The native wild yeast from the vineyard were left to naturally ferment with temperature peaking at 28 degrees C. Heading down screens were used to hold the skins and stalks as the fermenting juice bubbled through for gentle extraction. After 9 days on skins, the must was pressed to tank for natural malolactic fermentation and brief maturation prior to bottling.

Vintage 2024 was excellent. Winter and Spring were drier and slightly warmer than average leading to earlier budburst, flowering and veraison. Summer welcomed refreshing rainfall, average temperatures, with no extreme heat, ensuring the vines flourished with their very balanced crop load and apt canopy leading to steady ripening. Autumn began warm and finished mildly, continuing the consistent ripening of grapes until harvest was finished in mid-Autumn. The yields are overall average, and the quality is superb.
Parallax is a single-vineyard wine from a low yielding Grenache vineyard. The soil is a sandy loam with quartz, ironstone and subsoil clay, providing optimal conditions for these vines.
